Lincolnshire
I was born in Lincolnshire. The landscape is flat and agricultural - you can see for miles. I love the coastline and the grey/brown North Sea. Big beaches filled with memories. My old home town of Skegness boasts a beautiful nature reserve, Gibraltar Point. I have memories of visits here when I was little. It has unspoilt coastline, muddy seashore, saltmarsh, sand dunes, ponds, lagoons, woodlands. It is exposed, sea birds call, the colours - greens, brown spiky grasses, yellow, pink and purple wildflowers, gorse, sea lavender. On the beach hunting for sea-glass, shells, fossils and marvelling at the ever changing contours of the beach. A little haven of carefully managed wildness.
